Arcadia Reptile Halogen lamps are bright, inspire natural basking, powerful, quickly warming and IR-A rich. They are all handmade as bespoke in a single partner factory. Halogen lamps are robust and can help lower energy spend per heated enclosure due to their efficient design, highly insulating glass, high quality of reflection and sturdy nature.

Using a thick tungsten filament encased in a sealed halogen gas tube, halogen lamps simply produce more light and heat than standard lamps. This is then maximised via robust glass (IR Blocking) insulation and impactful reflection. All genuine Arcadia Halogen Flood Heat lamps are suitable for use with good dimming thermostats and it is our strong recommendation that you use good quality thermostats with probes.

Halogen ‘Flood’ Heat Lamp

The Arcadia Reptile 35w Halogen Flood lamp is powerful, crisp, bright and Infra-Red-A rich. This is a very energy efficient lamp being better reflected and insulated than standard glass lamps, which means that this small 35w flood lamp can for most replace up to a 75w standard tungsten lamp. This can equate to considerable energy use savings.

The Arcadia Reptile Halogen Flood lamp has a built-in metal reflector for optimal light delivery to the basking zone.

Arcadia Reptile Halogen Flood lamps should be used alongside an appropriate UV producing system such as ProT5 and can be paired with Genuine Arcadia Reptile Deep Heat Projectors and JungleDawn-LED Bars.

The Arcadia Reptile PAR20 50 Watt Halogen Flood lamp is a small lamp with a lot of punch. This is our ‘mid-beam’ lamp which is powerful, crisp, bright and Infra-Red-A rich. This is a very energy efficient lamp being better reflected and insulated than standard glass lamps. This small PAR20 50w lamp has a clear front which means that this small lamp can for most replace up to a 75w standard tungsten spot lamp. This can equate to considerable energy use savings for smaller species with a higher heat requirement.

This is a very adaptable, energy efficient lamp being better reflected and insulated than standard glass lamps, which means that this mid-size 75w PAR30 flood lamp can for most replace up to a 100w standard tungsten spot lamp. This can equate to considerable energy use savings whilst also greatly widening the beam width or ‘projection zone’.

This is the ‘BIG ONE’, Arcadia Reptile Halogen Flood lamps are our most popular heating lamps and for a good reason. They are powerful, dependable and able to deliver high levels of heat over a very wide area. Our PAR38 100 Watt Halogen Flood lamp is perfect for use in larger caging for larger species. Being able to cover the whole body of large species at safe fitting distances is a must for keepers, ensuring reliable IR-A rich warming and user safety. This is not a lamp to take chances with, it can deliver 70C at 15” to dark slate, so please do use suitable dimming thermostatic control. Beam radius is a whopping 9”/23cm+ at 15” with solid heating over the whole central area.

The Arcadia Reptile 100w Halogen Flood lamp is powerful, crisp, bright and Infra-Red-A rich. This is a very adaptable, energy efficient lamp being better reflected and insulated than standard glass lamps, which means that this large 100w PAR38 flood lamp can for most replace up to a 150w+ standard tungsten spot lamps. Deep Heat Projector

Arcadia Reptile Halogen heating lamps use the very best of heating technology. However, this can be improved upon still by pairing halogen lamps up with genuine Arcadia Reptile Deep Heat Projectors. Why is this? All lamp technology has limitations within the spectrum provided by each lamp. No lamp is an exact replication of the energy of the sun and therefore we as effective keepers can create small arrays to better fill the terrestrial spectrum. By using halogen heat lamps with DHP we further fill the spectrum and increase the bioavailability of our provision. Halogen lamps ae bright, attractive to basking, quickly warming and IR-A rich.

Deep Heat Projectors emit no visible light but are IR-B rich. By coupling up halogen to DHP we further fill the terrestrial spectrum with IR-B and include a heat source that can be used at night if temperatures fall in the home to require such heating. In tests, this is where we see the best results in terms of growth, colouration, feeding and breeding.
